FedEx paying pilots extra to delay retirement

For its retirement-age pilots, FedEx is reportedly offering bonuses of $40,000 to $110,000 to keep flying through the holiday shipping season.

FedEx and rival UPS both did record amounts of business during both of the last holiday seasons.

According to Boeing, an estimated 800,000 pilots will be needed worldwide by 2035 to meet demand.
