The Federal Reserve decided to keep its key interest rate steady in a vote on Wednesday.
The benchmark federal funds rate remains at 4.25%-4.5%.
“Recent indicators suggest that economic activity has continued to expand at a solid pace,” Federal Open Market Committee officials in a statement. “The unemployment rate has stabilized at a low level in recent months, and labor market conditions remain solid. Inflation remains somewhat elevated.”
