Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City names new president

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has named a new president.

Jeffrey Schmid, a 42-year banking industry veteran, is slated to start in the role on Aug. 21.

Previous President Esther George retired on Jan. 31.
