A federal judge in San Francisco temporarily kept the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program in place.
U.S. District Judge William Alsup issued a nationwide preliminary injunction that blocks the Trump administration's plan to phase out the program that shields young undocumented immigrants from deportation.
The judge said the rule must remain in place while a legal challenge against the Trump administration's decision is pending.
