Federal Judge Jack McConnell ordered the Trump administration on Thursday to fully pay SNAP benefits for November by Friday.
“People have gone without for too long," McConnell said.
The order rejects a Trump administration plan to partially fund the program during the government shutdown.
President Donald Trump also has threatened to withhold SNAP benefits until the government opens back up.
