Federal ethics director resigns

Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub Jr. resigned.

The move follows clashes with the White House over President Donald Trump's refusal to divest his businesses. Shaub also has taken issue with the administration delaying the disclosure of ethics waivers for appointees.

Shaub is moving to a job with the Campaign Legal Center, a nonpartisan organization of election-law experts.
