The federal government levied drug charges against a Texarkana, Arkansas, doctor.
Dr. Lonnie Joseph Parker is accused of running a so-called pill mill in which he allegedly overprescribed drugs. One of his patients may have overdosed, according to the government's charges.
Parker previously served time in prison after he was convicted of possession of child pornography in 1998, according to KFSM. Parker defended himself in his trial by saying he was attempting to help law enforcement officers catch predators sharing sexual images of children online. After his medical license was suspended, he was approved to resume practice in 2006.
