A U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners corrections officer died in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.
Steve Hammer served at the Fed Med since 2014. Prior to that, he was a Greene County Sheriff's Office deputy for nearly 10 years.
Hammer died Saturday when a truck pulled out in front of him in Republic, according to a city spokesperson.
