The Federal Reserve on Wednesday kept its key interest rate steady.
Officials with the central bank said the economy is growing at a "solid rate" and the Fed will be "patient" with future rate increases.
Fed policymakers said the labor market has continued to strengthen, "economic activity has been rising at a solid rate" and spending by households "has continued to grow strongly."
