Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook said she will not resign after President Donald Trump announced he was firing her.
Under the law, a president can fire a Fed governor "for cause." Trump cited recent allegations of mortgage fraud against Cook.
Cook said that "no cause exists under the law" and that she "will not resign."
