Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook has filed suit against President Donald Trump over her recently announced ouster attempt.
The 24-page lawsuit alleges Trump is making an "unprecedented and illegal attempt" to fire Cook. The case is likely to be viewed soon by the U.S. Supreme Court, according to Quartz.
Officials with the White House have cited mortgage fraud allegations as the cause for firing Cook.
