February sales tax revenue up 18.5% from 2010

The city of Springfield's February 1 percent sales tax check from the Missouri Department of Revenue is $2.9 million, up 18.5 percent compared to February 2010 revenue collections of $2.5 million.

Year-to-date, tax revenue collections are $24.1 million, a 3.4 percent increase from $23.3 million collected at the same time period in fiscal 2010.

The city's fiscal year started in July and is in its eighth month.
