Posted online
Nylabone Puppy Starter Kit chew toys on Monday were recalled by the FDA for concerns over salmonella contamination, reports CNNMoney.

People who handle the chews without thoroughly washing their hands or surfaces afterward are at risk of the infection; dogs can develop salmonella by ingesting the chews. Symptoms include nausea, vomiting and diarrhea in humans and lethargy, fever, diarrhea and vomiting in dogs, according to the FDA.

Nylabone chew toys involved in the recall should be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund, the report states.
