FDA approves coronavirus saliva test

The Food and Drug Administration approved a saliva test for the coronavirus.

Rutgers University developed the test, which is the first FDA-approved testing method that does not use invasive cotton swabs to collect samples.

It will become available to several New Jersey testing sites starting Tuesday.
