Federal Communications Commission Chairperson Ajit Pai announced he will step down from his post.
His exit is slated for Jan. 20, the day President-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated.
Pai voted in 2017 with his fellow Republican commissioners to remove net neutrality rules prohibiting internet service providers from blocking or slowing traffic to particular websites.
