FCC bans international robocalls, texts

The Federal Communications Commission voted to approve new rules banning international robocalls and spoofed text messages.

The new rules are designed to close loopholes in the Truth in Caller ID Act, which reportedly made it difficult to combat international robocalls and texts.

Congress and the Federal Trade Commission also recently have taken steps to block robocalls and texts.
