FBI considers moving jobs to Midwest

The FBI is considering moving jobs to the Midwest to combat what Director Kash Patel has called an “explosion of violent crime."

Patel said the FBI may move around 33 jobs to Kansas City, two to Springfield and one each to Topeka, Wichita and Jefferson City.

The FBI is looking to relocate around 1,000 jobs out of Washington, D.C., into other field offices in the U.S.
