The scores have been tabulated and the results are in for Springfield Business Journal’s 2014 Dynamic Dozen, honoring the 12 fastest-growing Ozarks companies. Along with the 12 companies, SBJ also will honor five local professionals with individual awards.
The Dynamic Dozen companies, in alphabetical order, are:
Build LLC, Burgess Aircraft Management LLC, Citizens Memorial Healthcare, CoxHealth, Everything Kitchens LLC, Integrity Pharmacy LLC, Jack Henry & Associates Inc., JMark Business Solutions Inc., MaMa Jean’s Natural Foods Market LLC, Marlin Network Inc., Prime Inc. and
Red Monkey Foods.
The Dynamic Dozen companies are determined through a numbers-based formula that awards points for both annual revenue and percentage growth for 2011, 2012 and 2013. Eligible companies must report gross revenue of at least $500,000 for each of those years, and they must operate headquarters in SBJ’s coverage area within 50 miles of Springfield.
Bill Dunton, owner of Abacus CPAs LLC, verified the numbers in the Dynamic Dozen applications.
Determined by an independent panel of judges, individual honors will be awarded in five categories:
- Top Local Executive: Jim Anderson, president of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce;
- Top Local Financial Officer: Lisa Odom, chief financial officer of Jordan Valley Community Health Center;
- Top Sales/Marketing Professional: Glenda DeFontes, account executive with Mid-West Family Broadcasting;
- Top Local Human Resources Professional: Laura Gates, human resources director with TCSI-Transland Inc.; and
- Employee of the Year: Eric Claussen, professional engineer with the city of Springfield.
Rankings for the Dynamic Dozen companies will be announced and the individuals will be honored at a May 15 reception and awards ceremony at DoubleTree Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave. Tickets are $30 apiece and are
available at SBJ.net.
Profiles of the honored companies and individuals will appear in a special publication that will debut at the event and be distributed in SBJ’s May 19 edition.
