Scott Consulting Engineers PC is project engineer for a wastewater treatment plant that will serve Mountain View. McClanahan Construction Company of Springfield is general contractor for the $3.6 million project, which is slated for completion in summer 2004. SCE provided planning, design and bidding phase services and is now providing construction phase services for the facility. It will have the capacity to treat 500,000 gallons of wastewater per day. The plant will incorporate an oxidation ditch process, followed by filtration and ultraviolet disinfection, which will be capable of providing advanced treatment to meet the stringent water quality standards of the sensitive Jacks Fork River watershed. The plant will feature biological nutrient removal, grit and grease removal, and a plantwide Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system.
