Built with steel-frame construction with brick and block veneer and EIFS, the structure features a tower at the main entrance and a main concourse connecting the new library with the adjacent recreation center concourse. The main resource area of the library has open structure with freestanding architectural features defining the various areas of the library, with allowances for future expansion. Adjacent to the main resource area is a computer lab, reading area and work spaces. A coffee shop and public meeting areas are located along the main concourse with access to the main resource area of the library. The site, located on a hillside, posed various design challenges that resulted in the multilevel structure. |ret||ret||tab|
