Richard E. Hardy Inc. is architect for the home office of Poplar Bluff Federal Credit Union in Poplar Bluff. JML Inc. of Poplar Bluff is general contractor, and Earl G. Bowlin, PE, of Springfield is engineer. The building comprises 8,396 square feet and the canopies are 1,596 square feet. The estimated construction cost for the project is $1 million, and it has an expected completion date of February 2004. The building is all brick with a standing-seam, copper-colored roof.
It is a state-of-the-art financial facility with the latest bank equipment and data processing systems. It has a full-featured vault, a conference room set up for future audiovisual capabilities and a record-storage vault with a high-density storage system. Four walk-up teller stations in the lobby and four drive-through lanes complete with night deposit and ATM facilities are included. The main structure is glue-laminated timbers, providing for a multifaceted lobby ceiling treatment.
