Marshall-Waters-Woody Associates designed the new Mini Mall Shopping Center at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala., for the Army & Air Force Exchange Services of Dallas, which has been a client of the firm since 1985. Plans are for the 18,888-square-foot structure to be bid this fall. The estimated cost of the project is $2.9 million. JS Smith Consulting Engineers of Joplin is structural engineer, and McCoy/Howard Consulting Engineers of Mt. Vernon, Ill., is mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer.
The structure will include a beauty shop, a barber shop, Blimpie's Foods, laundry, dry cleaning and alterations, a concession store with rotating vendors, and a convenience store with a four-pump gasoline island.
