Ledbetter, Corner & Associates Inc. is architect and engineer for The Mansion at Settlement Ranch, a new retirement facility in Ardmore, Okla., for Cambridge Health Care Inc. A general contractor for the project has not yet been selected, but the project is expected to be complete in 2004. The 82,000-square-foot structure has an estimated cost of $7.6 million. The facility will have apartments, residential care and nursing home units. A gentle, sloping site allows multiple entrance elevations for the building, with both one- and two-story components. The structural system utilizes exterior metal-stud, load-bearing walls and light-gauge metal trusses as a basic construction type.
The architect and the owner of this facility have created a continuum of care for senior citizens, from those who have their independence to those needing continual care.
