Far Horizons: H Design Group

H Design Group developed the design concept for Swamp Camp and entry features in conjunction with the Bass Pro Shops design development team at Bass Pro Shops in Bossier City, La. All imagery is by H Design Group. The goal given by Bass Pro to H Design Group was to take a stairway and make it an experience in the Bossier City store. Project elements included the Swamp Camp Stair, mall entry, Shoot'n Arcade and customer service. Working off provided concept sketches, H Design created a three-dimensional computer model, studying form, style, motion up the stair and structure of the feature itself. The output imagery, rather than glossy modern computer graphics, was designed in keeping with the style of the feature a loose, rag-tag patchwork with sepia tones and hand-worked quality, all with the flexibility of views and animation provided by a computer-generated model. From the Swamp Camp, H Design expanded on the study to include the Shoot'n Arcade and customer service features.
