Far Horizons: Gaskin Hill Norcross

Posted online

Mark Wolthuis with Gaskin Hill Norcross was engineer for Ozarks Medical Center's Central Sterile Ambulatory Care Facility in West Plains. RKL Construction was general contractor. Gaskin Hill Norcross provided complete architectural and engineering services for this two-phase project. The first phase was the addition to and the remodel of the existing Laboratory Services Department, which was completed in December 2001. The second phase was the remodel and expansion of the existing Central Sterile Services Department, which was completed in May. Engineering challenges included phasing of the project so that all operations were uninterrupted during the construction project. Another challenge was working within the physical constraints of the existing building. The 4,200-square-foot Central Sterile Services Department was designed to handle current and future needs of the medical center.
