Engineers are Creative Ink Architects LLC for structural; P1Group/Hoss & Brown for mechanical and plumbing; and B & R Electrical for electrical. The 105,000-square-foot facility is slated for completion in November. Bass Pro Shops created a thematic departure from the typical Outdoor World to acknowledge and celebrate the regional Cajun influence. Located on the east bank of the Red River, across from downtown Shreveport, the new store utilizes two full levels of retail space to emphasize the vertical scale of the building and to anchor the north end of the new Louisiana River Walk Development. Bold roof lines, clerestory glass, terraces, broad eaves and the predominant use of salvaged barn tin, concrete and reclaimed wood creates a memorable architectural aesthetic.
