'Fantastic Four' clobbered at box office

Superhero film "Fantastic Four" opened this weekend to an estimated $26.2 million at the U.S. box office  well below the $40 million analysts had projected.

The 20th Century Fox reboot of the comic book franchise also has been booed by critics. On review Site Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 9 percent approval rate, according to CNNMoney.

Paramount's "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" took the top spot this weekend at the box office, pulling in an estimated $29.4 million.
