Fans melt down over Cadbury Creme Egg change

Everybody’s favorite Easter egg won’t be the same this year – and fans aren’t happy about it.

Traditionally made in the United Kingdom using Cadbury’s signature Dairy Milk chocolate, the new recipe calls for Cadbury’s “standard, traditional milk chocolate.”

But don’t freak out just yet, CNN reports the change applies only to Cadbury eggs sold in the U.K.

About 500 million of the goo-filled eggs are sold each year and usually appear on shelves starting in January until April.

Kraft Foods acquired British candy maker Cadbury in 2010 for roughly $19 billion.
