Facing labor shortage, Schnucks to close earlier

St. Louis-based grocery chain Schnucks is closing most of its stores an hour earlier.

Company officials cited an ongoing labor shortage and changing shopping patterns.

“This is all about having our teammates in the store when our customers are in the store,” said Ted Schnuck, the company’s executive vice president for supermarkets.
