Facebook to shut down facial recognition system

Facebook announced plans to shut down its facial recognition system this month.

The company is slated to delete face scans of more than 1 billion users.

It's a feature that has fueled privacy concerns, government investigations, a class-action lawsuit and regulatory issues.
