Facebook is marking its latest move in an ongoing battle against fake news on its platform.
The social media company announced it will ban pages that post hoax stories from advertising on Facebook.
A Facebook blog post said the move targets “instances of pages using Facebook ads to build their audiences in order to distribute false news more broadly."
