Facebook plans to hire 500 additional employees in the United Kingdom when it opens its new London headquarters next year.
The move would expand the company's workforce in the country by 50 percent. The new jobs include engineers, marketers, project managers and sales staff.
"The U.K. remains one of the best places to be a tech company," said Nicola Mendelsohn, vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Facebook. "Many of those new roles will be high-skilled engineering jobs as the U.K. is home to our largest engineering base outside of the U.S."
