Facebook stock plunges as revenue, user growth disappoint

Facebook's stock dropped by as much as 23 percent yesterday as the company reported its second-quarter financial results.

While revenue rose 42 percent to $13.2 billion, it fell short of the $13.4 billion analysts were looking for.

Global daily active users rose, as well, to 1.47 billion. Analysts were expecting 1.49 billion.
