Facebook is building a $1 billion data center in Virginia that will require almost no people to operate.
Mashable reports 100 people will work at the center. That accounts to roughly $10 million per job created.
Despite the few jobs, states are still desperate for these investments — and they’re cutting deals to get them. Virginia, for example, has been slashing tax rates to attract investments.
