Facebook reports drop in users from US, Canada

Facebook announced a decrease in users from the United States and Canada as part of its third quarter earnings report.

The user base in the countries fell to 196 million daily active users from 198 million a quarter earlier.

During the third quarter, earnings came to $2.71 per share. That's above the $1.91 per share projection by analysts.
