The United Kingdom's Competition and Markets Authority ordered Facebook parent company Meta to sell GIF-making and sharing website Giphy.
Regulators said anticompetitive claims “can only be addressed by Facebook selling Giphy in its entirety to an approved buyer.”
Robin Koch, Meta's European Union director of policy communications, said the company is considering all options, including appeal.
