Facebook has hired John Branscome, a top congressional aide, to help the company ward off threats from Democratic lawmakers and the Biden administration.
Branscome, the leading Democratic tech staffer on the Senate Commerce Committee, is slated to join Facebook's federal policy team next month.
Facebook previously has hired away staff from Sens. Richard Blumenthal, D-Connecticut, and Dianne Feinstein, D-California.
