Facebook-funded cryptocurrency Diem is shutting down.
Silvergate Capital Corp. is buying the assets of the cryptocurrency venture from the Diem Association, which runs the project. The deal is valued at $182 million.
The cryptocurrency was launched as Libra in 2019.
