Former Facebook employees have called the company's culture "cult-like" and "ruthless."
The Silicon Valley Business Journal cited a recent story by Business Insider, which spoke with several former employees.
"Everything is quantified, and you're measured against everyone to a number," one former employee said.
Another said, "I've never met anyone that's received two ['meets most' reviews] in a row that has continued on at Facebook."
Facebook spokesman Anthony Harrison called the comments "ludicrous."
"To suggest that the experiences of a handful of disgruntled, anonymous employees speaks for everyone is ludicrous," Harrison said. "We encourage open discussion, regular feedback and honest conversation around what is and isn’t working at Facebook."
