Facebook banned President Donald Trump from the platform for the remainder of his presidency.
“We believe the risks of allowing the president to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great,” Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, referring to the insurrection on Jan. 6.
The move stepped up pressure for Twitter, Trump's preferred communication tool, to do the same.
Twitter has said that further violations by Trump would result in a ban.
