FAA grounds brewery's beer-delivering drone

The Federal Aviation Administration put the brakes on a brewery's plan to deliver cases of beer to ice fishers on lakes in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Inspired by Amazon's announcement it would use drones to deliver packages, Wisconsin-based Lakemaid Beers made plans to use drones to deliver beer via the Lakemaid Beer Drone, according to Fox News.

The FAA, which currently restricts the commercial use of small drones, contacted Lakemaid twice, informing the company it was in violation of agency regulations.
