Exxon, led by Tillerson, accused of defrauding shareholders

Exxon Mobil has been accused of defrauding shareholders when it was still led by Rex Tillerson, who's now Secretary of State.

New York's attorney general alleges the company overstated the value of its assets.

"Evidence suggests not only that Exxon’s public statements about its risk management practices were false and misleading, but also that Exxon may still be in the midst of perpetrating an ongoing fraudulent scheme on investors and the public," the state attorney general's office claims.
