For a small business owner, the prospect of competing in an international market may be daunting at best. But a marketing development program created by Brian Gauler, program coordinator at the University of MissouriÐColumbia's Extension Export Development Program and author of the book "Preparing for Global Marketing," shows that the process need not intimidate business owners.
"Exporting per se is probably one of the quickest and easiest ways for a firm to increase sales," Gauler said in an MU press release. Gauler's plan addresses each facet of the "going global" process in terms simple enough to be understood, but detailed enough to provide effective guidance. The program's focus is on smaller potential exporters
