Express Scripts investing $25M with VC firm

St. Louis-based pharmacy benefit management business Express Scripts Holding Co. (Nasdaq: ESRX) plans to invest $25 million in a new fund with venture capital firm Lewis & Clark Ventures.

“We continually scout for technology, ideas and people that are changing health care, and we believe that our investment with Lewis & Clark Ventures will further accelerate innovation across the Midwest, especially here in St. Louis," Dr. Glen Stettin, chief innovation officer, said in a statement.

Lewis & Clark Ventures is targeting companies that already are generating revenue, particularly those producing health care technology and solutions.
