Express Scripts hires Wal-Mart exec as CFO

St. Louis-based Express Scripts Holding Co. has hired a Wal-Mart Stores Inc. executive as its next chief financial officer.

Cathy Smith, the current CFO for Wal-Mart International, will move into her role with Express Scripts effective Feb. 10, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

She replaces Matthew Harper, who has served as Express Scripts’ interim CFO since former CFO Jeff Hall stepped down from that post in July.
