Fire department officials determined that a fire set in a nearby Dumpster made its way to the staffing company’s offices, owner Sharon Snow said. Snow is working with her insurance company to determine if the facility is a total loss.
The company was leasing the building.
Meanwhile, Snow and her seven employees spent Nov. 19 moving salvaged equipment to a temporary location at the Spring Valley Business Center on East Seminole. Operations were running smoothly by Nov. 20, Snow said, due mostly to the company’s commitment to backing up its server every night.
“There was no interruption of business,” she said. “We contacted all of our clients, and our associates aren’t having any trouble finding us because we’ve got somebody on site to direct them down here. Everything seems to be going rather well.”
Snow said she will determine later if she will rebuild or relocate, but there are no plans to close the business.
Express Personnel operated out of the location on Waverly for about 10 years, Snow said.
Sharon and Mark Snow purchased the business in January 2004 from Robert and Nikki Sells.
