Experts warn of avocado shortage if Trump closes border

Experts say the closure of the Mexican border would cause an avocado shortage in the United States.

An official with Mission Produce, the world’s top avocado distributor, said the U.S. would run out of avocados in three weeks if the border wall closure blocked imports.

"Mexico is going to have to do something; otherwise, I’m closing the border,” President Donald Trump said Friday. “I’ll just close the border.”
