Expansion under way at Tanger Factory Outlet

Posted online
Tanger Factory Outlet Center of Branson is making room for new stores with a $2.5 million, 25,000-square-foot expansion.

Tanger General Manager Jamie Whiteis said two new stores, Nike and Nautica, will open in the addition, located on the east side of the mall. Whiteis said The Disney Store is relocating to the addition from the southwest corner of the mall, and The Gap will expand into Disney’s old space.

Whiteis said construction on the $2.5 million project began in March and is expected to wrap up Sept. 3. At that time, the stores can begin their infill plans; they hope to open by Thanksgiving, Whiteis said.

The mall also has reconfigured its parking lot to add spaces displaced by the expansion, Whiteis said.

Tanger Properties LP of Greensboro, N.C., is the developer. Legacy Construction Services of Lyndhurst, Ohio, is the general contractor, and Belt Architects of Tulsa is the architect.

The mall’s parent company, Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc., is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol SKT.[[In-content Ad]]
