A pair of companies are planning an expansion of a silicon wafer manufacturing plant in O'Fallon.
New York-based GlobalFoundries Inc. and Taiwan-based GlobalWafers Co. Ltd. reached an $800 million agreement to add silicon-on-insulator wafer manufacturing at GlobalWafers' plant in the Missouri city.
The deals calls on nearly $210 million in capital expenditures for the plant and the creation of 75 jobs.
