Supply chain and logistics firm Exel and Rogersville manufacturer UnderCover Inc. are among companies partnering with the Missouri Job Center and the Ozark Region Workforce Development Board this week for hiring events.
Exel, which
staffs Kraft Foods’ warehouse at Springfield Underground, plans to hire 30-35 forklift drivers, said Megan Short, city of Springfield communications coordinator. The hiring event is scheduled to run 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today at the job center’s Springfield office, 2900 E. Sunshine St.
Short said UnderCover, which makes truck bed covers, will interview for 20-25 production workers needed by the end of the month. The job center will send its mobile career center at 9 a.m. tomorrow to UnderCover’s Rogersville office, 59 Absolute Drive.
The job center and workforce development board also are partnering with four companies in Branson.
Bass Pro Shops is seeking to fill nine positions at its White River Fish House restaurant, which floats on Lake Taneycomo near the company’s Branson Landing store, Short said. The event for cooks and servers is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at the Missouri Job Center’s Branson office, 2720 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.
During the event, Staffing Plus, TeleTech and Westgate Resorts will interview for an undisclosed number of positions. Westgate also will host a separate hiring event tomorrow, according to a news release.
